English - Look At Our Fabulous Work!

Year 3 have created these fabulous shape poems using adjectives to describe a varmint. What a creative way to use the front cover of a book!

Year 4's topic this term is 'The Ancient Egyptians', how intriguing! They have been learning all about Pharaohs from the book 'The Scarab's Secret' and have rewritten part of the story from the perspective of a scarab beetle!

Also, what great editing of spellings in Year 4!

Year 5 have been analysing the poem 'The Highway Man' for their 'Law and Gore' topic this term and have written a diary entry from the perspective of Tim, a jealous ostler. What great references used from the poem... 'One kiss my bonny sweetheart'.

Year 6 have analysed the main character, Jim, from Street Child for their Victorian topic, and have written a character description, using quotes and imagery from the text. Then, using the information they gathered about him, wrote an informal letter from his perspective, asking for help in his desperate situation. Will help arrive, or will his situation worsen?
