English - What Our Pupils Say

Book recommendations for our library:

After asking for book recommendations that could go in our library to ensure our library is up to date and regularly restocked, many children gave their recommendations...here are just a few!

Just outside of our library is a display full of new books that children might want to read. Here are some comments left by children who have read them.

World Book Day

What did you enjoy most about WBD?

Summer - Year 6:

That you were able to pick a book, and take it home!

Taylor - Year 5:

The Masked Reader because it was quite fun guessing the teachers reading...

Olivia - Year 3:

Choosing the books from book swap, I had Horrid Henry! I liked the orangutan from The Masked Reader and I think the donut is Mrs Lynch!

Why do you think reading is important?

Olivia - Year 3:

It is FUN to read!

Heile - Year 5:

To help your imagination grow, to help your grammar and to encourage other people to read!

Evelina - Year 3:

You learn new things and get lots of education. I love Roald Dahl, especially Matilda and BFG.

What books would you like to be available to you in school?

Taylor - Year 5:

I would like some Graphic Novels.

Olivia - Year 3:

I like comic books.
