Languages - Linking Languages Throughout The School

At Middlemarch, we have tailored the Language Angels scheme to suit the needs of our children. We have chosen units that link with what children will need to be successful if they travel to French speaking countries, for example: introducing ourselves, food and drink, dates and the weather and clothing.

We have also considered topics that are covered within other subjects that link to some French modules, for example Science topics, such as Space and history topics, such as World War Two to revisit learning.

This knowledge is built on from Year 3, beginning with Early Language Teaching, progressing to Intermediate Language Teaching and then moving on to Progressive Language Teaching modules.
