Throughout the year, we plan for the children not only to participate in PE lessons led by their teachers but also by athletes. This varies from visiting the local gymnastics club and being taught by their staff to taking part in fitness circuits led by an Olympic athlete. There are also opportunities throughout the year for children to take part in events held outside of school such as Boccia, Curling and Archery – some of these events are for fun and developing skills and some are competitive. Furthermore, in Upper Key Stage 2 there is an opportunity to represent the school and participate in competitive sport against other local primary schools.
