RE - Linking RE Throughout The School

Linking RE through the curriculum:

Warwickshire’s new 'RE and Worldviews' curriculum is designed to interconnect seamlessly with the broader Primary National Curriculum, enriching pupils' learning across various subjects. By exploring diverse religious and non-religious worldviews, it strengthens Literacy through discussions, critical thinking, and reflective writing, encouraging pupils to articulate their ideas and listen to others. History and Geography are enhanced as children explore how worldviews have shaped cultures, communities, and significant global events. In PSHE, the curriculum promotes empathy, respect, and an understanding of identity and belonging, aligning with personal and social development goals. Creative subjects like Art and Music are enriched as pupils examine how different worldviews inspire cultural expressions, while Science lessons benefit from ethical discussions on topics like the environment, human life, and technological advancements. By fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and open-mindedness, the 'RE and Worldviews' curriculum ensures that pupils develop a broad, balanced, and inclusive understanding of the world around them, preparing them for life in a diverse society.
